Therefore the Federal Ministery for Education and Research (BMBF) will support projects for the recycling and reuse of phosphorus on a regional level. The goal is to recover phosphorus from waste water, sludge and reuse it in agriculture e.g. Funding is available only for collaborative projects between industry and universities/research centres.
Projects shall start with a concept phase of not more than 6 months. Deadline for proposals for the concept phase is 29th June, 2018. Project consortias with positive evaluated concepts will be invited to apply for funding for a second phase (implementation). This phase can take up to five years.
